No windsurfing for us Saturday or Sunday.

Instead we took to horse-riding. I can't believe that from a beach riding centre you can ride arabian horses - you'd never get that in Britain.

On Saturday evening I went out with Sarah and Martine (who had never ridden before). Sarah and I were trotting at first and Martine was a bit concerned. We went on ahead and cantered and galloped up a wadi into the middle of nowhere. Fantastic. The views were spectacular and the riding was superb. By the time we got to the top Martine had become quite accustomed to it all and on the way back she was galloping with the best of them.

On Sunday Sarah and Jane went out for a morning ride whilst I lazed on the beach with my book. Jane had been ill the previous day so had missed out. With just the two of them and the guide they managed to do an hour and a half ride in just over an hour so that says it all really. Apparently Jane may have been a cow-girl in a former life - Yee-ha.

So that was our holiday in Dahab - until next time...
